机の修理

息子の使っている机の調子が良くない。妻が直してほしいと言ってきた。観てみると4個ある引きだしの3個が破壊されている。それぞれ奥の板が外れている。大きな引きだしの奥の板は真っ二つに折れて脱落していた。よほど大きな力が掛かって破壊されたのであろう。またこの引き出しの横両ガイドは脱落して引き出し機能は無くなっていた。小さい引き出し2個は、奥の板を接着剤により修復可能であった。大きな引きだしの奥の板は折れているので接着剤だけでは修復は不可能である。適切な補強板を板材から切リだして木ネジ4本と接着剤で補強した。奥の板は奥即ち裏から補強した。また引き出しの両側のガイド板は折れていて脱落しているので下側から別個のガイド板を3個新設した。こうして机の修理をしたが使用したのは接着剤だけで、板切れと木ネジは在庫のものでだけであった。

はやいもので中学校の聴講生となってからほぼ2年となり、わが町の公民館で扶桑町の教育委員会の主催の修了式を行って頂いた。出席の聴講生は4名である。これに先立ち1年間の感想を町のホームページに掲載して頂いた。私は3年目も国語と英語を選択するので関係の教育委員会と中学校の教育関係の皆様には宜しくお願いします。
 上記の通りとなるが、今年は私の思いこみと勘違いにより、皆様に迷惑をかけてしまった。即ち、終了式の日時を3月24日の午後3時からと勘違いしてしまって、今日の午後3時に中学校の教頭先生から電話でやっと気づいた。遅参して終了証書を頂いた。関係者の皆様 ごめんなさい。

3月15日、 明治村の新村長が決まり、式典が有るという。出かける用意していたら、妻の話で孫達が来るという。私は急遽 明治村行きは取りやめた。ちょうど昼時に孫達はやって来たが、孫の長女は居ない。日曜日でも部活動の卓球の練習をしていると言う。妻は豚汁を作って孫達に食べさせたら好評である。孫達は、孫の長女にも食べさせたいという。そこで妻は持ち帰りの容器に豚汁を入れ、帰ってから全員で食べてもらう事にした。また、食事後に今度は、孫の次女がゴルフの練習に行くと言い出したので帰ってもらう事にした。孫の三女が自分で創作した踊りと歌を私に披露したかったのであるが時間が無く断念した。なんと慌ただしい日であっただろう。

今日は五節供の一つの雛祭りである。去年は孫達の招待を受けて名古屋に出かけ三人の孫達と楽しい時を過ごした。しかし孫の長女は中学生となったので部活動の卓球で忙しいと共に算盤塾でも忙しい。そのため我が家で老年２人壮年１人でささやかに雛祭りを祝った。妻はちらし寿司を作り、３人で食べた。やはり、若い孫達が居ないと寂しいがやむをえない。尚、まだ 雛祭りをしているか女子中学生2人に聞いたらまだしていると返事が返ってきた。ほっとした気持ちとなった。

  今年 も百人一首の大会に出席した。百人一首の大会は１年生の行事であり、２年生は参加できない。そこで大会が５時間目にあることから、私は５時間目は授業はないそこで、教頭先生と校長先生にお願いして参加した。去年は参加したが11枚しかとれなかった。今年は何とか20枚はとれないか と参加したが結果は13枚に終わった。でも3枚は上の句を詠んだ時にとれたので僅かであるが進歩はあったかと自己を慰めている。
なお、今年の大会は　読み手の先生が慣れていないのか　訥々として ゆっくり読むのは良いが、 未だ取り札が多数残っていたのにも拘わらず時間切れとなってしまった。
